SMDI Sponsors NAIAS 2017
For the third consecutive year, the Steel Market Development Institute (SMDI), a business unit of AISI, was a premier sponsor of the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). SMDI secured a prominent exhibit space, located directly in front of the Michelin Media Center in Cobo Center for Press and Industry Days, Jan. 8 – 11th. This prime location experiences frequent traffic from the show’s more than 5,000 media guests, as well as OEM representatives, allowing SMDI’s members the opportunity to engage with these individuals and educate attendees on the benefits of steel for a variety of automotive applications. SMDI member representatives also hosted customers in the SMDI exhibit space and on the show floor during NAIAS.
