Back to Basics
Providing economic opportunities for Angelenos, committing to sustainable action, and investing in our infrastructure have helped Los Angeles become a more safe, prosperous, livable, and well-run city.
In the last three years we’ve cut the time it takes to repair potholes by more than half, paved over 8,500 miles of road, mapped the condition of every street in our city, and deployed thousands of extra trash cans to preserve the cleanliness and beauty of our neighborhoods. We’re also building on our progress with a record $31 million annual investment to repair City sidewalks.
This week, we also expanded our Community Safety Partnership program beyond public housing facilities to the broader community, to help create safer neighborhoods in partnership with community leaders and the LAPD.
