Energy Union update

 
The Commission is currently discussing with Member States a draft template for prospective "National Energy and Climate Plans" (NECPs) for the period after 2020. Building on existing governance frameworks, such as national climate programmes, national plans for renewable energy and energy efficiency, the NECPs will be key to deliver the integrated planning and reporting processes of the Energy Union governance by the end of 2018.

Fossil Fuel Subsidies

 
Pressure mounts on G20 as over 200 NGOs, including GBE, sign a letter urging governments to establish a deadline for the phase out of fossil fuel subsidies.
