Phoenix Education News

Hello,

It’s been a big month in education! After a lot of press coverage, many will be happy to hear that plans to turn all schools into academies have been halted. However, there are many challenges ahead, such as children’s mental health, which underline the importance of building an education system where the needs of children come first, not exams and metrics.

As you’ll see below, we too have had a busy month at Phoenix as we look toward the next School year as well as finishing off our work in this one.

Enjoy our May newsletter and please forward it on to anyone else who may be interested!

Questions for Change Updates

We’re delighted that Teddington School has signed up to our analytic service Questions for Change. In addition, we’ve managed to update our surveying tool and added new elements to the service, particularly in helping schools promote participation.

Questions for Change is a service that diagnoses how collaborative schools are and gives them a road-map to improve. Click here to find out more.
Hidden Leaders Update

Hidden Leaders is our new training scheme, funded in part by Awards for All. We have begun the scheme with Hackney Community College, training students to become peer-trainers themselves.

We’re rolling our the course across other FE Colleges in September and look forward working in this sector.
