The Annual Port Townsend Main Street Board Retreat was January 14th at The Creativity Cove. Our new Washington Main Street Coordinator, Breanne Durham, came to talk about the State's Main Street Program, thank you Breanne. We welcomed our newest board member, Sandy Spencer of the Lively Olive Tasting Bar, and mapped out our 2016 activities...stay tuned for more to come because it's going to be another great year!

Silverwater Cafe will be closed from January 25th and February 8th, because after twenty years, it's time to give the space some love, as in new floors! But until then, come get your fill of their spaghetti night (Wednesday), prime rib (Thursday), pot roast (Tuesday) and meat loaf specials (Monday).

Summer House Design is now open at their new location, 917 Water Street. They will also be having a moving sale on Saturday Jan. 23 at their old location, 1034 Water St. from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm.

The current Art in the Library exhibit at the Port Townsend Public Library will be open until February 5th at 5 pm. Located at 1220 Lawrence Street in Uptown. See work by Jennifer Blomgren, Shelley Brown, Kathy Constantine, April Davis, John Earl, Nancy Cherry Eifert, Kathy Francis, Jason Gould, Max Grover, Diane Haddon, JoAnne Heron, Steve Parmelee, Elizabeth Reutlinger, Marilyn Sandau, Nan-Toby Tyrrell, and Richard Jesse Watson. The goals of the Art in the Library program, a collaboration between Northwind Arts Center and the City of Port Townsend, are to provide free access to art for the enjoyment of library patrons and staff, to offer opportunities for artists and photographers to exhibit their work, and to decorate and honor Port Townsend’s historic library.
