Free All-Ages Summer Music Series at Pope Marine Plaza

Downtown Port Townsend rocks with all-ages free Concerts on the Dock Thursdays July 14th through September 1st at Pope Marine Park Plaza. Come to dance, see your friends, enjoy a beer and have a bite. In addition to loyal, perennial vendors Daily Bird Pottery, Magical Henna and James Jackson Massage, we’ll have food at every concert alternating between Mo Chilli BBQ and Paella House, coffee from Java Gypsy and Popsicle by PT Pops! Bring a chair or a blanket and settle in for some great tunes. Seating opens at 4:30 pm, music from 5 - 7:30 pm.

Hailing from all reaches of the country, the members of Uncle Funk & the Dope 6 were hand-selected in 2013 to form the ultimate party/dance band. They have formed into a tightly knit, finely tuned musical experience. Members have shared stages with everyone from Little Feat and Prince to Los Lobos and Willie Nelson. Our mission as a band is simple: To provide you and your guests with high quality danceable music to make your party an event to be remembered by all.

Locust Street Taxi is comprised of "three musical geniuses and a trombone player." Band members include Franco Bertucci, Sam Stockard, Nathan Geyer, and James Porter. Skeptics may scoff, but there is no other way to describe a band that can make grandmothers smile, children laugh, baby-boomers dance, college students spend money, middle-school students take up trombone, brides and grooms dance to The Muppet Show theme song!

August 11th – Olympic Express Big Band


The “Olympic Express Big Band” was formed in the spring of 2008 to fulfill a vision of a few local area musicians. They wanted to gather the finest players on the Olympic Peninsula to create a high caliber, “take no prisoners” musical ensemble who would perform tough, challenging arrangements, many written by the entertainment industry’s preeminent arrangers and composers.

Cold Comfort was born through many rainy evenings in the Pacific Northwest. Crafty and driving, a combination of epic ballads and bluesy rock songs.
Band members: Dekker "Robert James" Deen, Andrew "Hans" Jauhola, Ryan "Oliver" Crace, Dakota "James" Lupton, Dustin "Michael"  Ryerson, and Spencer "William" Johnson.


Kilcid Band—indie rock band featuring Tristan Marcum, Joel Mars, Kyle Hove, Conor Sisk & Christian Powers. They bring an eclectic barrage of crunchy jams accessible to all generations of folk.

Joy In Mudville combines influences from old-time bluegrass, folk, rock, country, blues & funk with Jason on clawhammer banjo/acoustic & electric guitar/vocals, Kim on acoustic guitar/vocals, Paul on bass/vocals, and Terry or Mike on drums. Whether an original tune, a driving barn-burner, some funk rock or one of many Grateful Dead covers, their music is super-high-energy with tight harmonies, clever arrangements, and grooves that make you wanna bust out those dancin' shoes.
