Saturday 25 February – Friends of David Booth Trophy Race

The Club’s scheduled Commodore’s Cup for Saturday 25 February has been abandoned and will now be the Friends of David Booth Trophy Race. The race will be a pursuit start to Lion Island and back and will be non-pointscore. To enter click HERE.
The Friends of David Booth Trophy will be presented to the Club as the Perpetual Trophy on Wednesday 15 February.  
 

RPAYC Runners Up in the Hardy Cup 

Clare Costanzo and her crew of Evelyn Foster, Hannah Lanz, Emma May and Rachel Bower from the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club finished runner up in a thriller final against Ashlen Rooklyn (Double Bay Sailing Club) in the 2017 Hardy Cup Match Racing Regatta.

Laneway access closed 

The laneway connecting the Crystal Bay hardstand to Mitala street will be closed on Friday 10 February due to resurfacing works. It will re-open on Saturday 11 February from 9am. 

RPAYC Wall Garden 

The Club's Terrace has no a feature wall garden as seen in the image. If any members would like to contribute by donating flowers or plants please contact Mandy Hansen on 9998 3700 or email mandyh@rpayc.com.au

Soldier On and RPAYC continues to grow!

On Friday 3 February the Club hosted another Soldier On Sailing Day out on Pittwater, the weather wasn’t the best but that didn’t dampen the spirits off all who were involved!
This particular session involved patients from the St John of God Hospital’s rehabilitation program which has a good partnership with veterans, Defence Force personnel and also members of the Australian Federal Police.

Paul Goss wins in Barbados 

Club Member Paul Goss has skippered the magnificent 65m vessel, ADIX to victory in the Unlimited division of the Mount Gay Rum Round Barbados Race. Congrats Paul! 

Andrew Wharton Wins 2017 Melges Australian Championship

Club Member Andy Wharton and the team on Accrewed Interest clinched what was a closely fought Helly Hansen Melges 24 Nationals on Saturday, coming from second overall to overtake Jon Newman’s Penultimate Challenge at the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron during the first week of February.  Photo: Melges Asia Pacific Facebook Page
