Welcome to Issue 2 of The Daydreams of Quilts Post! Thank you for being a subscriber. You should have received your free "Modern Grass Strip Quilt" download link in an email confirming your subscription. Please check your junk mail folder if you did not receive it and if it is still not there please reply to this email and let me know so I can email it to you as an attachment.
You may have seen on Facebook and Instagram that I tried out a mini version of the Modern Grass Strip Quilt. To do this I cut 1 1/2" strips from a green and a blue fat quarter. This is going to be the background of my Canadian Quilter's Association "Trend Tex Challenge" wall quilt.
February 14th is around the corner and I was thinking I might design a felt heart ornament tutorial for Valentine's Day. Then I Googled and quickly found that everything I could think of was out there already. However, not everything has a tutorial associated with it. If you would like me to design a tutorial please reply to this email and tell me. :) In the meantime, I have created a Pinterest Board with loads of great ideas. Tutorials for the above photos can be found at Felt So Good, Flamingo Toes and Sum of Their Stories. If you would like to make a heart pillow cover you can find the tutorial at the bottom of my tutorials page.

My Quilt is going to Quilt Con!

No, I didn't get juried in but I made a Quilt Con Charity Quilt as an individual Modern Quilt Guild member. Remember in the last newsletter I said I had sewn the most modern quilt I had ever made? Well here it is!

This is "Flying Colors." My inspiration photos are of the Holi Festival and Color Run. You can see the inspiration photos on my Pinterest Board. I have written a blog post for the Modern Quilt Guild so I will link to that when it comes out in the spring.
Quilt Along News
Fat Quarter Shop is starting their Crossroads Quilt Along in February. Even though I haven't finished last year's Snapshots Quilt Along I think I'm going to attempt this one too.

I have also signed up for Pat Bravo and Jane Davidson's Splendid Sampler Quilt Along. Yes, I may need an intervention.

Kelli's Minecraft Monday's quilt along started this week. I am definitely in on this one!
I designed a really quick "Make-it-in 1/2 a-day" baby quilt tutorial on the blog this week. Click here to view it.
I tried out a few projects from the book "Urban Scandinavian Sewing" and reviewed the book on my blog. (Not a sponsored post... just for fun.) Click here to see my review.
Thank you so much for reading this newsletter. I would love it if you shared this with your quilting and crafting friends so please pass it on to those who you think would like it.
