Hello Quilting Friends! Welcome to Issue 10 of The Daydreams of Quilts Post and welcome to all the new subscribers who have signed up in the past week! Thank you so much for reading. It is so important to me that you are here because it is becoming increasingly difficult to reach you on social media due to algorithms on Facebook and Instagram. I signed up on Ello which is an Apple app but people can access it on their computers at https://ello.co I am daydreamsofquilts on Ello too.
This inset circle pillow featuring West Hill Horses by Heather Ross is my latest finish that I will be sharing on my blog and social media tomorrow. My newsletter subscribers are getting a sneak peek. I absolutely love how this project turned out! My kids want to lounge on it in the living room so I will have to hide it in my room. ;) I learned this inset circle technique in a class that Craftsy gave me free access to called "Inset and Applique Circles by Machine" with Cheryl Arkison. Craftsy is offering this class to my readers for 50% off and you are the first to know! Just click this link to get your discount and you can learn this inset technique and more. (affiliate link) The original price was $39.99 but you can get this class for $19.99 until March 30th, 2015 at 11:59 pm MT.I will have a review of the class, which I recommend without hesitation, in tomorrow's blog post.
I wrote a review of Canadian Quilter and award winning novelist Riel Nason's new quilting book "Modern Selvage Quilting" on my blog yesterday. Click here to read my review. I made this adorable selvage pin cushion with a technique I learned in her book.
New followers and subscribers may not know that I had a quilt juried into an exhibit that opens today at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva called "Water is Life: Clean Water and Its Impact on the Lives of Women and Girls Around the World." I am so honoured to be a part of this. Today is World Water Day so that is why the exhibit opens today. You can read more about this quilt and the meaning behind it here and read my update post here. My quilt is called "When the Tap is Finally Turned On".
Thank you so much for reading this week. Please feel free to share with your friends who may find this newsletter of interest. If they would like to subscribe they can click here to do so.
