I slowed down a bit this week in sewing but still have a few things to show you. I have major surgery coming up next week so I will fall behind in my quilt alongs but that's okay.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement!

I want to thank all of you for your kind words and support after the release of my latest pattern "40 Prairie Sunsets" last week. Some of you bought the pattern and that means so much to me that you put your faith in me for your upcoming project. My coupon code for my newsletter subscribers is good until Feb. 29th (it should still work on March 1st too as that is the date I put in just to cover time zones.) The code: NEWSLETTER1 is for 25% off all patterns in my Etsy shop.

I slowed down a bit this week on sewing. There are a few secret projects in the works. I just received my quilt pattern layout from Make Modern Magazine last night to proof read. I have a quilt in issue 10 that is coming out on March 11th that I am very excited to share when the issue comes out. Here is a link to Make Modern Magazine.

I also have a quilt in Quilter's Connection Magazine (a Canadian quilt magazine) in the Spring Issue which is also coming out in early March. Here's a link to their preview page. Mine is the "Modern Circles" rainbow baby quilt and I also gave directions for a larger lap/twin quilt as well.
This is my second block for The Splendid Sampler. I changed it slightly so that I could fussy cut my Zinnia print for the "Wallflowers" fabric line I am using for the quilt. My Kenmore died again after I just had it serviced in November. I think that machine is waving the white flag. So I had to switch over to my Juki to piece this and I marked it with tape so I could ensure an accurate seam allowance. I am happy with the result on this block. This is a 6.5 inch block.
This is my pig block for Minecraft Mondays. This was yesterday's block and was really quick to put together. Quite a relief after that yellow block above. This block is 12.5 inches. I am sad that I will probably fall behind on my quilt alongs because I am having fairly major surgery next Thursday (hysterectomy) but I hope I will be back to sewing sooner than I think. I have some embroidery and English Paper Piecing projects planned for my recovery time. I plan to have a newsletter next Tuesday but the following week may not have a newsletter.
Here is a sneak peek of all the pieces cut for my next quilt pattern. I am using Bonnie and Camille's "Ruby" line and I hope to have this ready for when their "Little Ruby" line hits stores.
That's my news for this week! :) Thank you so much for being a subscriber and reading. I truly appreciate it. If you would like to share this newsletter with a friend (or friends) please feel free. There are social sharing buttons immediately below. New subscribers can find my sign-up page here.
