Hello Quilting Friends! Welcome to Issue 14 of The Daydreams of Quilts Post. I have been so busy adding items to my Etsy shop and I am excited to show them to you. I also sewed one more top for my daughter this week and my quilt did well at the Silent Auction on Sunday.
Here is my daughter in the Ruffled Halter top I sewed for her. This is a free pattern from Oliver + S. I used a rolled hem foot to hem all the edges instead of leaving them raw as the pattern suggested and I am very happy with how it turned out. I forgot about the fact that the ruffle pieces are cut on the bias when I chose my directional fabric for this but I think having the little ballet dancers on the diagonal ads movement to the top. The fabric is cotton lawn Tiger Lily fabric by Heather Ross.
The "Spiced Chai" quilt that I made from the book "Vintage Quilt Revival" did well at the Silent Auction on Sunday. It raised just under $200.00 for the church. I would like to say a big "Thank You!" to Judy for buying it and making it worthwhile having it in the auction.
I was busy on Saturday and Monday stitch up embroidery samples for my new embroidery kits in my Etsy shop that I put together using my printed fabrics from Spoonflower. I am thinking I will make little kids' backpacks and sew the construction workers onto the flaps. The Grumpy Cactus will go into my cactus quilt.
I also made some Grumpy Cactus pincushions as well as kits so you can make your own. Whew! So glad I have all of those listed. These are all in the "Supplies" section of my shop which you can get to by clicking the blue button below.

Other than all of that (That was actually quite a lot of work!) I changed my name on Pinterest to "Daydreams of Quilts" and switched my Pinterest from personal to business. I just seemed to make sense to do that. You can find me on Pinterest and everywhere else on the web by clicking on the coloured buttons below. You can share my newsletter by clicking on the black "sharing" buttons below too. :) Have a great rest of the week!
Thank you so much for reading this week. Please feel free to share with your friends who may find this newsletter of interest. If they would like to subscribe they can click here to do so.
