Dr. Richard Selznick is a psychologist, nationally certified school psychologist, assistant professor of pediatrics, school consultant and Wilson certified reading instructor. Dr. Selznick is the Director of the Cooper Learning Center, a Division of the Department of Pediatrics/ Cooper University Healthcare. The author of three books, “The Shut-Down Learner: Helping Your Academically Discouraged Child,” “School Struggles: A Guide To Your Shut-Down Learner’s Success,” and the 2015 release of “Dyslexia Screening: Essential Concepts for Schools & Parents.”
Dr. Selznick has presented to parents and educators internationally, as far as Dubai and Abu Dhabi and throughout the United States. A down-to-earth presenter who looks to present complex issues in non-jargon terms, Dr. Selznick strives to help parents “get it.” Dr. Selznick has a particular passion and interest for helping parents understand dyslexia and related reading disorders.
Dr. Selznick is also the host of an internet-based radio show, “School Struggles,” where he discusses a range of topics including dyslexia/reading disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD and challenging behavior in children. The radio show is part of The Coffee Klatch Network.
