NuGO received two applications for our 3rd call for exchange grants in 2017. Both applications have been approved.
Oscar Daniel Rangel-Huerta from Oslo University, group of Rune Blomhoff, will visit the University of Copenhagen, group of Lars O. Dragsted.
Neshe Nazifova-Tasinova from the Medical University Varna, group of Diana Ivanova, will visit the University College Dublin, group of Lorraine Brennan.
New NuGO members:
The Graduate School LiFT, represented by Chalmers University of Technology becomes a NuGO member organisation.
The Graduate School LiFT (Future Technologies for Food production) forms a significant and national education and research network in food sciences between three universities (Chalmers University of technology, Lund Technical University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) and one research institute (SP Food and Bioscience). In addition to the deep know-how in the research field, there is also a wide cooperation with the food industry. The overall goal of the research school is to strengthen the Swedish food industry competitiveness by providing it with highly trained doctors with high scientific competence in important areas of development and to train multi-disciplinary high-level researchers for universities, research institutes, and international organizations.
Prof Marie Alminger will be the representative.
Universitat Rovira i Virgili - Nutrigenomics Research Group will become our latest NuGO member.
The University Rovira i Virgili was actively participating in NuGO for years. Several PhD students followed the pre-NuGO week courses and participated in other NuGO events. They withdraw their membership in 2014, however they will come back as NuGO member in 2017.

First biannual meeting at Gyeongju, South Korea
The directors of NuGO, Lorraine Brennan and Baukje de Roos, were invited to attend first APNNO event to deliver key lectures for the scientific programme of a 2-day meeting on December 5th and 6th 2017.Please read [travel report].
